MAX31855

Cold-Junction Compensated Thermocouple-to-Digital Converter The MAX31855 performs cold-junction compensation and digitizes the signal from a K-, J-, N-, T-, S-, R-, or E-type thermocouple. The data is output in a signed 14-bit, SPI-compatible, read-only format. This converter resolves temperatures to 0.25°C, allows readings as high as +1800°C and as low as -270°C, and exhibits thermocouple accuracy of ±2°C for temperatures ranging from -200°C to +700°C for K-type thermocouples. For full range accuracies and other thermocouple types, see the Thermal Characteristics specifications in the full data sheet.

Recycle Plastic Into 3D Printer Filament at Home

“3D printing is very exciting technology as it reaches the home scale but using brand new filament was not acceptable to me as it would just increases the plastic waste amount on the planet. I started to look for a …

Tactile Interface Thermometer-Clock

“A Thermometer Clock with no screen, numbers or visible interface. I made this device, a thermometer-clock without screen, buttons, needles or any visible interface. It may not be the most practical device, but we can’t deny that it’s …

Project  BBQ Aid

BBQ Aid

“Many people can’t tell the difference between barbeque and grilling. Heck, we almost always made a fire that put some blacksmiths to shame, just to grill those pork chops under 3 nanoseconds! (no, really, we used an industrial air …

Raspberry Pi Pico Based Temperature Controller

“Hi, everybody. Ok, I know there are so many temperature controllers with different software and hardware systems over the internet, but this can be interesting for you as I used raspberry pi pico as the central controller. One of my …

Automatic SMD Reflow Oven From a Cheap Toaster Oven

“Hobbyist PCB making has become much more accessible. Circuit boards that contain only through-hole components are easy to solder but the size of the board is ultimately limited by the component’s size. As such, utilizing surface mount components enable …

PIDKiln - PID Temperature Controller to Ceramic/Glass/Metal Kiln

“This is “yet another” PID temperature controller. I’ve made this one, because bought one was crappy and I needed something solid. There are two or three other DIY controllers “on the market” but this one, at least I see …

Reflow Master

“An easy to use graphical reflow controller for your toaster oven! Reflow Master really started out as a microcontroller-based graphing experiment… I wanted to visualise the temperature in my toaster oven when I manually reflowed my PCBs. I had a …

Maxim Integrated is an American, publicly traded company that designs, manufactures, and sells analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Maxim Integrated develops integrated circuits (ICs) for the automotive, industrial, communications, consumer, and computing markets. DS1302 - Trickle-Charge Timekeeping Chip The DS1302 trickle-charge …

“The” PCB Laminator

“Recently I started making more PCBs for my prototypes, and for me, the worst thing is ironing PCB covered with laser printout. Of course it works, and if you make it often, can be really good at this. Some of …

Data Logging Temperature Probe (-200 °C to +1300 °C)

“I needed to take temperature vs. time measurements for a piece of research equipment in order to determine how much time in advance someone should start prepping before they actually intend to use the equipment. In this case, prepping involves …
