LM1117

The LM1117 is a low dropout voltage regulator with a dropout of 1.2 V at 800 mA of load current. The LM1117 is available in an adjustable version, which can set the output voltage from 1.25 to 13.8 V with only two external resistors. In addition, it is available in five fixed voltages, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V. The LM1117 offers current limiting and thermal shutdown. Its circuit includes a Zener trimmed bandgap reference to assure output voltage accuracy to within ±1%. A minimum of 10-µF tantalum capacitor is required at the output to improve the transient response and stability.

The Ultimate Logic Probe

“A small logic probe for CMOS and TTL circuits. Measures 5 states, detects pulses and can play different tones for the different states. Looking back through some of the stuff I have built over the years I came across a …

Inductance Meter

“An Arduino based meter to measure inductors. This project is a remake of an inductance meter by sagar saini. My variant has the following changes/additions: - ATtiny1614 CPU replaces Arduino UNO - LMV311 comparator replaces LM339 comparator - Battery powered with deep …

Tiny Space Invaders Game

“A battery or external powered LCD 1602 game console with built in Space Invaders and Space Impact games. Recently I did a project called Tiny Space Impact Game. After finishing it, I realized that the console itself was very generic …

Tiny Space Impact Game

“A rebuild of the Space Impact Rocket Game by Mohd Sohail. New hardware, 3D printed case, improved software, battery or externally powered. This project is a rebuild of Space Impact LCD game by mohammadsohail0008. I really liked the concept. This …

Electronic Depth Gauge for Dremel Drill Press

“A clip-on electronic depth gauge for a Dremel Drill Press. No wires or screws required. Sometimes during a build, you may need to drill holes of a fixed depth. I have a Dremel Drill Press and while it is a …

UV Exposure Box

“A UV Exposure Box to expose photoresist or solder masks for single and double boards. Most of the projects that I build have a custom printed circuit board. With a preference to making my own PCBs rather than use proto-boards …

Serial Debugger With Display

“A pocket-sized debugger for monitoring serial data. Description Sometimes you need to quickly check the state of the device and having to use a computer for that can be a bit bothersome. A pocket-sized debugger that can monitor and display …

Isolated Full-Duplex RS-485 Transceivers

“This module is an isolated full-duplex differential line driver and receiver for TIA/EIA RS485/RS422 applications. The module is ideal for long transmission lines because the ground loop is broken to allow for a much larger common-mode voltage range …

Self-Calibrating USB Voltage/Current Meter

“With a code size of 1KB on an ATtiny13A MCU, this tiny module measures voltages up to 22 volts and current up to 5 amps. There are a lot of so-called “USB doctor” modules which are used for monitoring currents …

Z80 Arduino Using Mega as Debugger

“Ever since the 80’s I’ve wanted to build a Z80 computer. I even bought the chips, but never used them. The reasons for this are varied. I never liked erasing and reprogramming EPROMs. My EPROM eraser died. I …
