Si7021

The Si7021-A20-GM digital relative humidity and temperature sensor integrates humidity and temperature sensor elements, an analog-to-digital converter, signal processing and an I2C interface in a single chip. The Si7021-A20-GM has a temperature accuracy of ±0.4 °C and a relative humidity accuracy of ±3%. The innovative CMOS design also offers the lowest power consumption in the industry for a relative humidity and temperature sensor. With full factory calibration, the Si7021-A20-GM requires no additional RH/temperature calibration during PCB assembly.

Perpetual Battery-Free Weather Station

“It’s now possible to build remote, low-power microcontroller projects that can operate indefinitely without batteries and still not crash, even if power is interrupted. Let that sink in. As an example, we’ll show you how to build a …

Building an Air Filtration System for a 3D Printer

“How I used a microcontroller, a fan, and a bunch of sensors to create a smart filtration system. I was thinking of projects to work on, and I thought, gee, it would be nice if our 3D printer didn’t …

Make a Smart Zigbee Connected Home Sensor Hub

“Make a wooden smart clock with Zigbee feature to monitor the environment of your home. Initially, I wanted to monitor the environment in another room by means of a Zigbee device collecting temperature and humidity data from a Thunderboard. I …

Easy Very Low Power BLE in Arduino Part 3 - Nano V2 Replacement

“This instructable, A Redbear Nano V2 Replacement, is Part 3 of 3. Part 1 – Building Very Low Power BLE devices made Easy with Arduino covers settting up Arduino to code nRF52 low power devices, the programming module and measuring the …

Easy Very Low Power BLE in Arduino Part 2 — Temperature/Humidity Monitor

“This tutorial is a practical application of Part 1 Building Very Low Power BLE devices made Easy with Arduino by constructing a Very Low Power BLE Temperature and Humidity Monitor. The monitor will run for years on Coin Cell or …

How to Build a Comfort Monitoring Sensor Station

“This instructable describes the design and construction of a so called Comfort Monitoring Station CoMoS, a combined sensor device for ambient conditions, that was developed at the department of the Built Environment at TUK, Technische Universitt Kaiserslautern, Germany. CoMoS uses …

EnviroPi: Taking a DIY Internet-of-Things approach to an environmental monitoring system

“Monitoring environmental conditions in cultural heritage organizations is vitally important to ensure effective preservation of collections. Environmental monitoring systems may range from stand-alone data-loggers to more complex networked systems and can collect a variety of sensor data such as temperature …

It’s For The Birds!

“One way to measure the health of our climate and the ecosystem we live in is by measuring the size and variety of its fauna or animal population. Every winter, since 1987, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology conducts a massive …

attiny85 wireless weather sensor

“In this article is shown how to build your own wireless weather sensor compatible with Oregon weather station using compact attiny85 micro controller. You can buy spare Oregon sensor THGN123N for about $20 or you can build your own wireless …

Wide range of Hygrometers: DHT22, AM2302, AM2320, AM2321, SHT71, HTU21D, Si7021, BME280

“Previous experiments looked at comparing a set of six Aosong DHT22/AM2302 and compared the Aosong DHT22/AM2302 with the Aosong DHT11 and Sensirion SHT71. Here I have added five new devices meaning this test now covers most commonly available …

Build a Hygrometer at Home Using Raspberry Pi and SI7021

“Sometimes for us, high humidity proves to be really uncomfortable as well as unhealthy. For householders, it can cause potential damage as well. For a home, high humidity ruins wooden floors and furniture with encouraging mustiness growth around us. By …

Outdoor Thermometer / Hygrometer

“The placstic outdoor thermometer has gone with the wind some day. The double sided scotch became too weak on the sunlight to hold the thermometer on the window. Today anyone can look for the current weather conditions and forecast in …
