“Drones are being used for military purposes along with aerial photography and video, and, by many accounts, will soon be used for shipping. There’s another application for the lightweight, unmanned flying devices that you might not have considered: entertainment. It will probably be a few years before an Amazon drone delivers a Christmas list item to your door, but at Disney World the future for drone entertainment is now. On November 16, the resort introduced Starbright Holidays in collaboration with Intel. The drone show is being presented twice nightly at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. through January 8 over the lagoon between Disney Springs (previously known as Downtown Disney) and Disney’s Saratoga Springs hotel. Admission as well as parking is free at Disney Springs, and the show is complimentary for all guests. The best place to view Starbright Holidays is behind Bongos Cuban Café in the Westside neighborhood of the shopping, dining, and entertainment complex.”
