Hyperloop One reaches 187kph in first test run

Hyperloop One has successfully tested its levitating electromagnetic motor for future transport systems at a track in Nevada, USA. The company’s electromagnetic sled reached 187kph, as reported by The Guardian, on a short open-air test track before ploughing into a pile of sand – necessary, as the test rig doesn’t currently have any brakes. The test, which lasted just a few seconds, was the first demonstration of the much-hyped transportation technology.”
